Lost, before we had the chance to say goodbye. There were So many things we could have said and done. We didn’t expect you to be gone so soon. Left, with the emptiness of missing you. This is my moment to let it go. *Adios, Yayo.

CHANGES

World Premiere: April 2014

Choreography: Mónica Cervantes
Lighting Design: Brian Sidney Bembridge
Costume Design: Maggie Dianovsky

10 dancers, 17 minutes

Mónica Cervantes (Spain) work Changes navigates our modern world, both the harsh and the poignant. Opening in silence, the piece quickly launches into an aggressive urban crowd. Revealing individuals throughout, the brash full- bodied ensemble movement dissipates into two duets. Cervantes explores how different relationships begin, develop and end in our fast-paced world.
